Submission Guidelines

Stone Table Review publishes short stories, essays, poetry, and drama. All works may be in traditional and/or new media formats.

WE ONLY ACCEPT E-MAIL SUBMISSIONS. Send submissions to editors@stonetablereview.com

Stone Table Review assumes typical First North American Serial Rights to all works appearing in the journal, claiming the right to be the first publisher of the work in North America as long as the issue with the author's work in it is current. Until the new issue is published, no other journal is allowed to publish that same work. When the next issue appears, then the author, as holder of the copyright, is free to submit the work elsewhere.

As a courtesy, however, we would greatly appreciate your giving Stone Table Review mention if your work is chosen for an anthology or other collection at any later date.

Submission Deadline: March 15, 2008

Reading Period: August 15 - June 15

Literary Submissions:

• Writers may submit stories or essays up to 5000 words in length, or three poems.
• Every literary e-mail submission should be sent as a word document attachment.
• All submissions should include a bio of no more than 50 words.
• We are also interested in artists' websites and appearances in other online journals to which STR might link.

New Media Submissions:

• Writers may submit up to two new media pieces.
• All new media submissions should be in Flash 7 (or higher) or Quicktime files.
• Files should be no more than 500K.
• Screen size of submissons should be no wider than 900 pixels. No limit on height.
